Bug Description:

During the setup, you will be prompted to install the Impact driver. On some Windows computers, the installer can fail. The Launcher will display a message that the Impact driver installation or verification failed.

When does it occur?

During the installation of the Impact driver.

Temporary Workaround:

Try to install the Impact drivers manually by following these steps:

1. Close the Quell Launcher and disconnect the dongle.

2. Open Windows search, enter the following folder path and press return: “%LocalAppData%\Programs\quell-launcher\resources\assets\impact-windows-driver-installer”

3. In the folder, double-click “QuellImpactVCPInstaller_x64.exe”. Make sure you allow it to install when prompted.

4. To verify that the driver is installed correctly, navigate to the Windows Device Manager, plug the dongle into your computer and verify that it appears under “Ports (COM & LPT).
